(Free) Film Screening 14/09/2017 Beyond Babel: “How to Be a Normal Person”

Film screening (Spanish language with subtitles) and accompanying presentation by Dr Carmen Herrero (Manchester Metropolitan University).
Synopsis: Maria is 30 years old and she has one goal: become a normal person. Back living at home and without a partner, she considers herself a failure. Which kind of person is she? Is she a normal person? What does that even mean? In her quest for answers, Maria starts with a list: all the requirements she can think of to be normal. Her journey to achieve her goals forms a heart-warming comedy about friendship, inspiration and learning to love oneself and others.
